मकर संक्रांति - Makar Sankranti (Uttarayan)

14 जनवरी 2022 को मकर संक्रांति का पर्व मनाया जा रहा हैं। मान्यता के अनुसार इस दिन गंगा स्नान और सूर्य देव पूजन का अधिक महत्व हैं। क्योंकि इस दिन सूर्य अपनी राशि बदलते हैं। जिसमें वो धनु से निकलकर मकर में प्रवेश करते हैं। यह पर्व भारतीय ज्योतिषी के अनुसार पिता सूर्य और पुत्र शनि की मुलाकात के रूप में भी मनाया जाता हैं। इस दिन भगवान सूर्य देव अपने पुत्र शनि से मिलने खुद उनके घर जाते हैं। इसे सूर्य उत्तरायण के नाम से भी जाना जाता हैं। देश के अनेक हिस्सों में मकर संक्रांति को अलग-अलग नामो से जाना जाता हैं।

मकर संक्रांति से जुड़ी मान्यताएं

मकर संक्रांति से जुड़ी एक मान्यता हैं कि माँ गंगा को धरती पर लाने वाले महाराज भागीरथी ने अपने पूर्वजों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए इस दिन उनका तर्पण किया था। जिनका तर्पण करने के बाद गंगा माँ समुद्र में जाकर मिल गयी थी। महाभारत के प्रमुख पात्रो में से एक थे भीष्म पितामह। पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार मकर संक्रांति के दिन भीष्म पितामह ने इच्छामृत्यु पाई थी। ऐसी मान्यता हैं, कि उत्तरायण में देह त्यागने वाले व्यक्ति की आत्मा को मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती हैं। ऐसी मान्यता हैं कि माता यशोदा ने जब कृष्ण जन्म के लिये व्रत रखा था तब सूर्य देवता उत्तरायण  काल मे पदार्पण कर रहे थे। वह दिन मकर संक्रांति का दिन था।

मकर संक्रांति की महत्ता

धरती के प्रत्यक्ष भगवान सूर्य नारायण की मकर संक्रांति के दिन विशेष पूजन करने का विधान हैं। वैसे तो हिन्दू धर्म मे सूर्य देव को नियमित अर्ध्य देने का विधान हैं। परंतु खासतौर पर इस दिन प्रातः गंगा स्नान और सूर्य देव को दिया अर्घ्य मनुष्य के जीवन मे सफलता,शांति तथा सुख-समृद्धि लाता हैं। सूर्य के उत्तरायण की महत्ता को छान्दोग्योपनिषद में भी कहा गया हैं कि जब पौष तथा माघ में सूर्य मकर राशि मे आ जाता हैं तब उस दिन और उस समय को संक्रांति का प्रवेश काल कहा जाता हैं।इस दिन जप,तप,दान,धर्म,पवित्र नदी में स्नान व व्रत करने वाले को दीर्धायु, आरोग्य,धन-धान्य की प्राप्ति होती हैं। आज के दिन सूर्य सहस्त्रनाम, आदित्य स्त्रोत का पाठ करे। गुड़ ,तिल, कम्बल,खिचड़ी,चावल किसी गरीब को दान करे।

The festival of Makar Sankranti is being celebrated on 14 January 2022. According to the belief, Ganga bath and Surya Dev worship are more important on this day. Because on this day the Sun changes its zodiac sign. In which they leave Dhanu and enter Makara. According to Indian astrologers, this festival is also celebrated as the meeting of father Sun and son Shani. On this day, Lord Surya Dev visits his son Shani himself at his home. It is also known as Surya Uttarayan. Makar Sankranti is known by different names in many parts of the country.

Beliefs related to Makar Sankranti

There is a belief associated with Makar Sankranti that Maharaj Bhagirathi, who brought Mother Ganga to the earth, sacrificed her ancestors on this day for the peace of their souls. After the whose surrender, Ganga Maa got into the sea.

One of the main characters of Mahabharata was Bhishma Pitamah. According to mythology, Bhishma Pitamah got euthanasia on the day of Makar Sankranti. It is believed that in Uttarayan, the soul of a person who gives up his body attains salvation. It is believed that when the mother Yashoda fasted for Krishna's birth, the sun god was making his debut during the Uttarayan period. That day was the day of Makar Sankranti.

Importance of Makar Sankranti

There is a law of worshipping Surya Narayana, the direct God of the earth, on the day of Makar Sankranti. By the way, in Hinduism, there is a law to give regular prayers to the Sun God. But especially on this day, Arghya was given to Ganga bath and Sun God brings success, peace and happiness in human life. The importance of Uttarayan of the Sun has also been told in the Chandogyopanishad that when the sun enters Capricorn during Pausha and Magha, then that day and time are called the entry period of Sankranti. On this day chanting, austerity, charity, religion, bathing and fasting in the holy river, one gets a long life, health, wealth and wealth. On this day, recite Surya Sahasranama, Aditya Strota. Donate jaggery, sesame, blankets, khichdi, rice to a poor person.
